After arriving, we tried ignoring all the dead moths and insects that we found in the house, cobwebs everywhere, and the unclean crockery in the cupboard, however the uncleanliness peaked once we found stained linen on the bed.
Although the location is great, we were disappointed to have to spend $400 per night and not see any value for money. For example, simple amenities weren’t supplied such as tea bags or coffee, and there were extra charges for early check in, late check out, or running out of gas. None of these we saw was worth taking up the offer.
Since the property was for sale, we found out online that a sale inspection was scheduled for 2:00 pm on the second day of our visit, which we had to inform the owner to cancel as we were staying here.
Although we are happy to stay in a property that is a little dated, it was really disappointing to not see the value in spending $400 per night for an unclean property with poor quality in the service we were offered.
