        Dive in with 5,000 other swimmers in the world's largest organised swim. Each year thousands of swimmers dive into a sea of history and race the 1.2 kilometre course of the Lorne Pier to Pub. The Lorne...Pier to Pub started as an informal challenge among Lorne Surf Life Saving Club members. It's now an action-packed weekend attracting people from near and far to both participate in the race and soak up the carnival atmosphere. Over the past 33 years the event has grown in size and stature and now claims centre stage of a two day program that includes the Mountain to Surf Fun Run and Surf Boat Race Classic. Since 3071 swimmers took to the water in 1998, the swim has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest open water swim.

            The Rip Curl Pro will this year be celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the Bells Beach Easter Rally and the Rip Curl Pro in Australia's surfing home of Torquay. The ASP World Tour's best surfers will be...at Bells over Easter to compete in the year's second ASP World Tour contest. But it will be only one deserving winner who will get to ring the prized Bell on the final day of competition. Joining the Men and Women of the ASP will be the world's hottest 16-year-old junior talent, who will be in town competing in the international final of the Rip Curl Grom Search Series. In tow with the action in the water, there will be plenty happening on land for fans, visitors and surfers alike, between the famous Bells contest site, the local pubs and legendary parties around town.
